We officially sent out Christmas Cards!!!!

This year I was actually coordinated enough to send out Christmas Cards! Even though I barely got them out the door, the entire process was actually fun! James took a lot of amazing photos, which we are so incredibly thankful for, the ones below didn't make it on our card but I thought were still so cute!

Early Christmas present!

Christmas started a little early for Carson! As a result of him crawling really well and fast, Deda allowed him to open his gift from his Uncle Will and Chaz that he (and me especially) really needed- he got a Jeep Cruiser!

Carson's Dedication

On Sunday, we dedicated Carson to the Lord! It was perhaps one of the most amazing experiances I have had, and often I found myself holding back the tears! Carson, of course, wanted to talk and yell while our pastor was dedicated his Cousin Berkley, but when it was Carson's turn to be held by him and prayed over he was so still and quiet! Is was a great day!

I finally figured out how to upload a movie! This shows how well Carson is crawling, after he got the hang of it, he acted like his been doing it for years! He's gotten so fast!

Tis the season!!!

Brady and I got A LOT accomplished this weekend! One of the coolest things is that we have our christmas lights up- a first ever for us!!!

This is just one of the many great pictures I was able to snap of Brady!!! He deserves an even bigger pat on the back, because he won our of bet of $50 that he would fall out of the tree! ha ha ha ha

Deda came over for dinner and to watch him while we work, and they must have been missing each other because they were dressed exactly alike!!!

Milestones

The week after Thanksgiving proved to be very momentous week for our family!

1. We packed away all of Carson's newborn clothes...which I know should have happened forever ago, but I knew it would make me cry and was prolonging it as long as possible! Of course, to make me laugh, I made him try on everything again....even if it didn't come close to fitting!

2) At 8 1/2 months old, he finally started sleeping in his own room, I know again should of happened forever ago, but this one really made me cry! He slept perfectly, barely moved, and loved his new bed! But of course, like a crazy loon, I watched his baby montior all through the night....pathetic I know!

3) He started crawling......EVERYWHERE!!! I have learned to keep pants on him no matter what, because he's crawling so fast he's getting rug burn and scrapes! He loves it though, and especially loves getting into everything!

4) He also cut 2 TEETH!!!! Which I doubt I will ever be able to get a picture of, until they grow in a bit!

5) He's started to pull to stand, and stand without assistance! I need to take a picture of that and I will post it!

 

Our First Thanksgiving

Carson had his first Thanksgiving at Deda's a couple of days before actual Thanksgiving! We had the whole fam in and were all able to sit down together- it was awesome!

Then we headed to the ranch!

When we came through the door, we were immediatly greeted by Brookelynn running straight into Nini & Grampi's room, returning with a present for Carson!

They loved playing with the new laughing monkey!

Berkley and Carson got to spend a lot of quality time together hanging out on the pallet!

Thanks to Nana- Brookelynn and Carson got one day where they played the entire time together! They had a lot of fun outdoors, until we got a text message saying we were being to loud while people were deer hunting- and that was the end of outdoor time for that day!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Today we started a tradition! Chopped down our own Christmas Tree...so fun!!!! Carson and I got to pick one out and the boys sawed it down!

Weekend at the Ranch!!!

Brady has been needing to get a break from work so we headed to the ranch for several days! Among many things, we finally got to meet the famous CoCo- who is the "grandbabies horse"! Sooo cute, and it was so fun feeding her carrots and sugar!

Carson was having so much fun, I wish we could have our own Coco for the backyard :)

We kept Carson entertained with Swann's magazines and other random things! For the record, we offered him many toys, but still he chooses the random weird objects!

Carson got to try some new food, with a little help from Aunt Darbs and Nini.....as in they just gave them the food without me knowing! But he LOVED it! He got Graham Crackers and Vanilla Wafers! Yummm!!

I LOVE MORNINGS!!!!

Okay so anyone that knows me, know that is a strong statement! ha ha ha... But spending my mornings with Carson before he goes to school is so much fun! Last night when I picked him up from Deda's, they were playing the piano! 

We went on a bit of a shopping spree that night and came across a mini piano that he just had to have! This morning I got to surprise him with it, and we had so much fun!

Already having so much fun and he just woke up!

Quality time with the GREAT Grandparents!

While we were in Abilene, Carson got to spend some quality time with his Nana and Mema & Papa! First we surprised Nana, it was so fun! Nita and I just set Carson on the floor and let Nana come around the corner to find him, she was so happy!! Then, to make things even better, we got Court and the girls to come over and surprise her again!!! It was a great day, but taking the group shot was worse than wrangling ferrets! This is the best one I was able to get of everyone!

Carson and Brookelynn loved hanging out on the floor together, Brookelynn showed off her 'reading' skills and showed him how to hold hands (the entire time-too cute)! This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of them

While at the ranch, Mema and Papa came to visit us!! Carson enjoyed playing with Papa and Mema, as you can see!!!

1st Halloween!

Monkey had a great first Halloween, and of course, we dressed him up as a Monkey!

He loved his costume!

He got to go trick-or-treating with his school friends around Brady's work, so Brady was able to show him off! Grampy and Nini were able to come up in the afternoon and pick him up!

He loved his first Halloween, he was able to go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with his best friends, Aunty Danger and Raptor!

5 months wrapped up!

I have been the world's worst blogger...It's been almost 6 months since I last posted. And after gentle prodding from certain family members, I have made time to sit down and finally do it!!! It's going to be brief, but I promise that I will update it frequently from now on! Carson started school:

On nights where Brady has a dinner or function to go to, he gets to spend time with Deda! He loves helping her work....

After we've spent a fortune on toys, we've found that his favorites are metal pots/strainers and being in a cardboard box, go figure!

He loves hanging out with Aunt Danger and Raptor (James)! he says 'Hey ladies!'

 
He loves to sleep and sometimes drools, it's very cute!



But most of all, he loved watching Baylor beat UT!!! Sic Em!!!




Carson is a very happy baby and we love getting to know who he is everyday! He is such an amazing blessing to our lives!

Oh So Coordinated!

For the past couple of weeks Carson has been perfecting putting his hands in his mouth....quite often he will pop out his paci and start sucking on his hands!

He loves doing this...

And within the past week he has developed a new trick...grabbing his feet- preferably both of them

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Yesterday was my 27th Birthday and my first birthday as a mom. It was hands down the best birthday I have ever had!

I started the day at 7 a.m. and Carson and I played for about an hour then took a nap. I went into work for a couple of hours, then got to come straight home and snuggle with him before dinner!!

One of the favorite parts of my day, was of course dressing him for dinner....

Swimming...Take 2

So this weekend with the weather being SO hot, it was a perfect time to try out swimming again. This time we got him suited up...which created my most favorite pictures of him to date and probably for awhile!!!

We started with the hat....
